Happy Monday y’all!! I started my Monday at the doctor with Ellie and both boys (because well, it’s summer) for her cranial band and got there and realized I left her band at home! I was ironically wearing a shirt that said “Not Today Satan” and moved on with my morning and went all the way back home to get her band and came back to the doctor. After my appointment, I ran into the sweetest mom in the parking lot whose baby also has a cranial band and we got to chat for a bit. When I got back into my car I couldn’t help but think to myself how good God is. I knew in that moment that is why I forgot her helmet this morning and it was a God orchestrated appointment. Mon bébé courage Les jours d’adaptation sont terminés et tu arrives à tenir avec ton casque, et même la nuit (bon c’est vrai qu’elle est parfois décousue ). Tu es censé tenir 20/24h jusqu’à fin août, alors ne t’inquiète pas je m’adapte à toi, la chaleur, ta patience, ta gêne... et parfois c’est difficile pour toi. Tu transpire beaucoup avec, tu m’aides à enlever ton casque, tu le mets beaucoup à la bouche pendant la pause. Je pensais que ce sera plus compliqué, j’ai appréhendé cette adaptation mais finalement, en t’écoutant tout c’est très bien passé. Même ta nounou est fière de toi. Et ce qui me fait doucement sourire est le regard des gens quand ils te voient. Soit c’est de la gêne, soit c’est de l’étonnement ou de la curiosité mal placée. Jack graduated from his helmet! We are all thrilled with his beautifully shaped head! . Just in time for warmer weather and for him to start pulling himself up on things and falling down...(Maybe we should keep it on him just for safety reasons? ). . Also, he thought it was pretty silly that bear has to wear it now!

Les résultats après un mois de port de casque ! ⛑ C’est assez flagrant et ça nous donne beaucoup d’espoir ! La plagio est passée de 10mm à 2mm. Elle ne se voit quasi plus à l’œil nu. La brachy, elle, est passée de 101% à 99%! Le travail maintenant va être de se concentrer sur l’arrondissement de la tête par l’arrière ! C’est incroyable hein? On la vaincra cette Bracchycéphalie !! PS: On n’oubliera pas de noter qu’en un mois, Victor a pris des joues !

Ok but actually, could be be any cuter?⠀ .⠀ Around 2 months old we noticed that Holden was starting to develop a pretty gnarly flat spot on the back of his head. We immediately did everything we could to keep him off the back of his head and saw major improvement but just not quite enough. A case of mild Torticollis as an infant turned into a case of severe #plagiocephaly and #brachycephaly and now this guy has a sweet new summer accessory! He will wear it 23-hours a day for the next few months and come out with the roundest head you’ve ever seen . // #plagiocephalyawareness

Jack Jack will officially be done with his helmet in 1 week! Can’t wait to be able to kiss his cute little head and cheeks without being hit in the face by a hard helmet!

Des nouvelles de la PLAGIO ! Aujourd’hui nous avons été faire les mesures du crâne de Victor pour le port du casque. Non, nous n’avons pas arrêté le magnétisme, mais le magnétiseur nous disait qu’il y aurait des résultats d’ici 3 semaines / 1 mois. Victor a presque 5 mois. Nous étions à un moment charnière: si nous attendons les résultats du magnétiseur (fin mars), nous risquons, si Victor en a besoin, de repousser le port du casque sur ses 6 mois. Comme il y a deux semaines de délais de fabrication, il aurait commencé à porter le casque vers 6,5 mois (mi avril) et ce jusqu’en juillet pour les fortes chaleurs. Donc nous avons appelé le magnétiseur et tout est en cohérence avec son travail! En tout cas, les mesures et la couleur du casque sont prises juste avant notre départ pour la Guadeloupe. A notre retour, un beau casque bleu l’attendra. En tout cas, en huit jours de magnétisme, nous avons remarqué lors de la prise de mesures, une bosse au niveau de l’occiput.. Un peu de rondeur sur cette belle tête, eh bien, ça nous apporte de la douceur ! On y croit !
