⁣ ⁣ This is my first time doing marble stripes. It’s not perfect and I actually made some mistakes too. But that’s how you learn and make it better next time. ⁣ ⁣ Here’s what I did. Maybe you can come up with a better idea than this one. Be sure to let me know ⁣ ⁣ 1. Measure the height and perimeter of your cake.⁣ 2. Cut out the right size of the acetate sheet or wax paper. It’s not easy to get the right length. Mine was a little too short when I wrap the marbled stripes on the cake because of the thickness of the buttercream. But oh well, just try your best. It’s ok if it’s a little taller than the cake because you can cut the excess off.⁣ 3. Draw lines on the acetate sheet to mark the stripes ⁣ 4. Cover the stripes with a strip of wax or parchment paper leaving just one stripe. Spread your marbled buttercream on the acetate sheet. Once your done with this first stripe, lift up the wax or parchment strip. You should have one find looking marble stripe. ⁣ 5. Put this in the fridge for a few minutes. Not too long so it doesn’t get too hard. But just hard enough to not let the second stripe smudge it up. ⁣ 6. Repeat the same for the other stripes. ⁣ ⁣ That’s it! ⁣ ⁣ Then you just follow @delaneysdesserts tutorials with how to release the acetate sheet.⁣ ⁣ I actually made a few mistakes here. First my acetate sheet was too short that it couldn’t cover the whole cake. So I had to force some buttercream on the ends of the acetate to the uncovered part. Good thing there was only about a quarter inch. Secondly, I scraped it too much after releasing the acetate. I was trying to smooth it but I ended up scraping some marble off. Lesson learnt! Don’t make the same mistake as I did. ⁣ ⁣ Marbling buttercream is so much fun and there can be numerous of possibilities. You can use this same technique with not just stripes, but also polka dots or just any shapes or patterns. ⁣ ⁣ If you ever try this be sure to let me know how it goes ⁣ ⁣
