La porte Saint-Louis est l’une des quatre portes des fortifications de la ville encore existantes aujourd’hui. La porte Saint-Louis d’origine, construite en 1693, fut remplacée par une autre porte, plus à l’ouest en 1745. Cette deuxième porte sera démolie puis reconstruite en 1878 pour obtenir sa forme et son emplacement actuel. Ernest Beaux might have been the first perfumer to use aldehydes (in Chanel N°5), but, to my mind, Guy Robert was the perfumer that mastered them. From Hermès Calèche - my scent of the night - to Madame Rochas, and Amouage Gold, Robert created icon after icon, each impeccably crafted around aldehydes as a core note. Calèche is a woody-floral aldehydic in the vain of N°5, Madame Rochas and Arpège, and yet, the aldehydes in Calèche are lithe, severe and masculine in a way that the others aren’t. Calèche is a mood in and of itself, and one I am enjoying immensely this evening. So, pray tell, which are your favourite aldehydic perfumes?

Взяла Калеш и брызнула на руку, а потом взяла их же Голубой нарцисс и брызнула поверх, да пожирнее. Сижу, значит, дурею от облака... Когда очнулась, поняла, что мне в этой смеси понравилось. Туалетная вода не успела разальдегидеться чрезмерным, в отличие от духов, мылом. Ярче проступил ирис. Чётче зазвучали древесные ноты, они перестали быть такими пушистыми и округлыми. Кожа легла мягким подтоном. И, вообще, вся цветочность композиции немного изменила ракурс. Понимаю, что я - мракобесочка, и подобные издевательства над именитым домом могут играть не в мою пользу, но уже поздно что-либо менять.) #парфюмерный_эксперимент состоялся. Тем не менее, наконец удалось приструнить альдегидно-мойдодырную EDT-шку, которая порядком меня замучила, чего не скажешь о концентрации parfum. И кто мог подумать, что колонь способен на такое... .
