What interests, passions and priorities define you? . This image was from my wedding where I integrated fresh cannabis flower into my bouquet along with dried flowers and feathers. Aside from the joints floating around the party, my bouquet and my husband's boutonnier, were the only integrations of cannabis into my wedding. This is an important note, because, don’t get me wrong, I love cannabis, but it does not define me. It has earned a place in my life, but it is not the only thing I love and am passionate about. Sustainable living is a huge component of our lifestyle, which we expressed in our wedding as well. It was a fall wedding so there were no fresh flowers, instead we used bushels of apples, fresh cut corn stalks and funky pumpkin/squash as decoration. We had bamboo plates and silverware and borrowed hay bales from the neighbor as seating for the ceremony. I created dream catchers from vines around our property and we held the wedding at our farm and took the money we saved from a wedding venue and invested it in improvements on our house. These improvements we enjoy almost daily for years to come, this is the kind of investment gift I love! . Our wedding video is in the link in my bio if you want to see! But the point I am making is to live authentically in the ways that best serve YOU to live your happiest life! . Motherhood has been an integral part of the last 4 years of my life. Without a doubt the 4th trimester, my son was an extension of me. Breastfeeding until he was 3 and co-sleeping also heavily made him very much attached. But now moving past that phase, I’m having to redefine myself. This is a huge adjustment of how I define my role as a mother. So I ask you... . Chalkboards! I love lettering on a larger scale! Since most of my work is place cards and they’re tiny, whenever I get to do signage or seating charts I do a happy dance! This board was made for a DC wedding that had a edibles bar instead of an alcohol one. How cool! I fell in love with this dress the moment @aliciakatyyy found it on the hanger ✨ As soon as she touched it, her body was consumed with chills and I could not contain my tears once the dress was being put on my body. It was everything; literally the dress I had dreamt about my entire life. I bought it within 4 months of getting engaged with no venue or date chosen, I just knew it was the one and thus I would be planning the wedding around the dress ✨ I wanted to embody vintage vibes while still looking modern; a look that was so classic it would seamlessly time travel through the ages. This translated into a fall color palette including burgundy, golds and pops of navy. My husband @muncheeee tapped into his inner Palm Springs gentleman vibes by adorning a burgundy jacket with bow tie and pants that were perfectly cut to show just a bit of his tropical printed dress socks. ✨ I’m going to be sharing more of my story on how I planned our Palm Springs wedding over the next few posts... On top of running our cannabis businesses, we somehow planned the entire thing ourselves. And we did it with joy! It was fun.
