Hellur. Last time I shot this space, I didn’t have a baby. This was the last time this space looked like this Having a baby really changes everything. I really appreciate all of your kind words on my posts about baby Peanut! I am still adjusting. It’s like I cannot get into the swing of things motivation wise. It kinda makes sense, I suppose. Most have nine months to prepare for a baby. I had about 18 hours from “the call” until I picked him up during the most hectic week of my life to date. Literally. And then a call for a baby who needed a home DURING the hell week. My life is not what it was last month. It’s not that I’m complaining because I love every second with him. It’s just taking me a while to adjust to the new norm. Dinner at 10:00pm is now typical. Bed at 11:00pm, up at 2:00am, 5:30am. Social workers in an out. Doctors appointments a couple times a week, 40 minutes away. And omg don’t get me started on the putrid smell of a bottle of days old formula recently discovered in a diaper bag I have never felt so unmotivated to do anything other than keep Peanut alive. This is new to me. This is coming from the girl who just four weeks ago was drinking beer in the laundry room at 2:00am while painting cabinets because I could ‍♀️ But I love this new life.
