Gordon and Macphail Mortlach 1969 bottled in 1999(?), 40%. • It has the “right” dark cherry colour. • Abundant red fruits as expected, the meatiness is subtle and buried deep in the aroma. Feels way older than 30 years old. • • Oak is taking the reins as we roll onto the palate. More wood varnish and dark chocolate notes, slightly bitter amid of the dark fruits sweetness.
