I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life college wasn’t easy for me, there were many times where I felt like I was never going to make it to graduation. But yesterday I accomplished one of my biggest goals. I’m the first in my family to earn a Bachelors degree and that alone was scary on its self. The pressure to set an example to my younger siblings is what kept me going and the honor of making my mother proud was the single most rewarding feeling. A hard working woman who has raised 6 kids on her own. My journey was long, but it taught me patience perseverance, and courage. It taught me to never give up on my dreams. No matter how long it takes. College challenged me emotionally, mentally, and financially. The struggle is real guys! So if you’re a person that is currently doubting and struggling to make it to next semester. Let me tell you that you can do it! It doesn’t matter how long it takes you, keep pushing. I had the biggest support system! My family, friends, and my amazing husband who was right behind me giving me that extra push, who would stay up late to help me study.
