Hello summer 〰️ this is my favourite season and my most favourite 3 months of the year Who else is with me? I love the long light nights and eating alfresco, my hair has already lightened and I’m a little sun-kissed from our week away and my garden is full of the gorgeous scent of roses and the clothes get lighter and shorter, I love seeing all those gorgeous little legs in their shirt rompers and bummies ——————————— #popsyandmama

Childhood memories 〰️ What are your favourite childhood memories? I have so many of family holidays on farms, playing pooh sticks with my Grandad, sewing with my Nana and playing on the beach with my brothers. This quote is so true as I love a farm visit still, I love playing pooh sticks with Poppy, the sewing goes without saying and being on the beach in the UK is good for my soul I’m the first to start digging the big hole in the sand and love watching the white horses galloping to the shore, not to mention collecting shells off the beach. It makes me smile to see Poppy enjoying these same things and knowing we’re building the memories and things she’ll love for years to come #popsyandmama

Summer sweatshirts 〰️ They’re a thing you know? It’s almost impossible to get through a British summer without one at some point. These are my favourite twinning set, the pink is and they’re lovely and soft and they aren’t too thick, so they’ll definitely keep those chilly summer days at bay Don’t take my word for it, you should try them. These and other colour-ways will still be available when we reopen This was one of the first new style I took at the workshop the amazing @thisisnaomigale ran (in fact it was taken in that conservatory for any fellow followers of Naomi’s) she shared so much insight and guidance it has totally helped me get my style ——————————— #popsyandmama

Packaging and re-using 〰️ Reducing my impact on the environment is really important to me, especially to set a good example to Poppy. She’s been learning about recycling and re-using at school and is constantly looking for ways we can do more as a family I’ve worked hard to bring you fully recyclable packaging ~ using glue-less cardboard boxes ~ non shiny tissue paper from sustainable sources using non toxic ink ~ recycled card tags hand printed by me ~ matt stickers ~ compostable tape Things I’m still working on ~ biodegradable string for the tags ~ re-using the packaging I receive ~ non toxic ink pad for my stamps ~ recyclable notecards Things I’ve learned ~ you can’t recycle recycled card and paper. WELLNESS 〰️ I’ve been reflecting on my own wellness this week, given its wellness week and I know I don’t focus on myself enough. It’s hard to juggle things sometimes, when we’re being pulled in all directions and I’ve learned it’s ok to say I can’t do it all On the flip side, a year ago I had a dream and I still have that dream and it’s evolving all the time. Part of my wellness is sewing and doing something that I’m proud of, I won’t pretend it isn’t tough at times but those moments are outweighed by seeing what I have achieved already in 11 short months. I’m learning new skills all the time and building great relationships and true friendships along the way This quote really resonates with me, I just needed to get going with my dream and realising that I’m already there - it’ll keep growing and changing along the way but I am doing what I love, I’m doing it all for me and my family, I’m showing Poppy you can do whatever you set you me heart to and above all I’m following my dream with all of you. I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart to have you all join my community Let’s all keep an eye on each other and remember we need to put ourselves first to be the people we want to be and to be there for everyone around us Now I need to get moving as I’ve a girls weekend to enjoy - have an amazing weekend all #popsyandmama

That’s a wrap 〰️ another half term done We had a blast in Cornwall and are reluctantly dragging ourselves back to reality.
