Consistency, one of the biggest parts of bodybuilding among other things in life. The best advice I can give anyone who is just starting out their fitness journey is to do it for you and don’t get discouraged just because you’re not where someone else is at. It’s your journey, anything worth having takes time.

Why Eating Whole Foods Is Superior to Supplements ⬇️

. Nutrient Absorption
Your body is primal at it’s core. It recognizing chicken, turkey etc as food and sources of nutrients. Your body will generally absorb a whole food’s amino acid’s better then protein bars and protein powders.
. . Less Negative Side Effects
Gas, nausea, bloating, headaches, nutrient deficiencies are all common side effects of protein shakes and other supplements. Whole foods will generally have way less potential for these side effects unless you have an allergy to the specific food.

. Fiber, Antioxidants, Satiety
Lets put up a scenario: You are going to workout in an hour. Person A is going to have a balanced meal with turkey breast, rice and a source of fat. Person B is going to have two protein bars and a protein shake. Who do you think is going to have a better workout? Person A 100%. The whole foods will take more time to digest in their bodies and provide more antioxidants then person B is getting.

♂️Supplements and other fitness products like bars are supposed to SUPPLEMENT your eating habits. They serve a great purpose when you need a quick source of protein etc like immediately post workout, or if you’re traveling with no immediate source of food.

I won’t be competing for the rest of 2019 nor do I have my eyes set on any shows in 2020. I do plan on putting on size and filling out my physique. Not only to work on my weaknesses but adding size to all areas. Size, symmetry and proportion is my goal.
Definitely want to work on my posing as well. I’ve learned that I hide a lot of my physique with my lack of flexibility and ability to hit certain poses.
Since I’m off prep I am looking into taking on a few clients again! On a real note, I've made it a point these past few months to spend more time at the beach and with the people I care for. It's crazy looking back. I sidetracked everyone who cared for me to focus on the wrong things. To be around family and friends who love you is an amazing feeling
