Guys!! This past week ke design studio turned 5!!! 4 months before David and I tied the knot and a month after we bought our first house, I apparently felt I had ample spare time and decided to start a business I was SO excited to make my first $15 within days of posting my shop on @etsy. I definitely had no idea what was in store- like all the stats listed below. . . . It was the little shop that could…It started out as a way to pay for those little added expenses that pop up around wedding time. Then, it transformed into a way to make some extra money when my desk job wasn’t cutting it financially. Selling digital files turned into printed paper goods when I sprang for a used printer that someone sold me for $60 (SIXTY DOLLARS!!! )“if I could get it to turn on” . . . Over time, paper goods turned into referrals for other - larger projects - and those turned into repeat clients until my fulltime job turned into a part time job and then eventually…in August 2015.. no job at all. When I quit my job to focus on being a full time creative entrepreneur, it was terrifying - my spreadsheets said it would work, but that somehow didn’t calm the nerves. I had no idea what I was doing, some days I still don’t, but I’m always learning! Year 6 starts with a bang, as I continue to lay the ground work for an exciting new chapter in my business. I can’t wait to put ACTUAL plans into place to plan for FUTURE ke design studio anniversaries and maybe even future employees (wuuuut?!) . . . I’m so excited about what’s ahead, but that doesn’t mean, on an occasion such as this, that we can’t look back and celebrate all the little milestones that got us here! In 5 years ke design studio has: ☑️Filled 3,100+ etsy orders ☑️Created over 195+ invitation design options ☑️Punched 21,890+ Buttons ((THIS IS REAL… LOL)) ☑️Worked with 40+ freelance clients ☑️Designed over 20 Logos/Brands . . . Literally can’t thank all the support systems, cheerleaders, customers, clients and insta friends enough. You guys fill me up every day and push me to be better. Thanks for letting me share a little of my creativity in your weddings, parties, businesses, and more! You guys are the best!
