Inland trips are good for the soul. It’s a little cooler, there’s more hikes, wildlife, bush. Less traffic lights, roads, houses.. Less people. Minimal reception. Oh the silence is nice. Every so often (usually when there’s no swell, or when we’ve started to loose focus) we like to stock up on food + water and drive inland. No set itinerary - find few hikes or national parks and just drive. This trip was one of them - we spent a week going from Port Macquarie inland, up, around and back out to the coast. Waterfalls for days! Bush for days!! I love the coast. But the bush is good for my soul.. Always searching for that balance.

The Coffs Harbour Jetty. . . Back on the 4th of April this year I shared a day time shot of the jetty. So this time I’ve gone with the early morning shot taken a couple of weeks ago when I was last up there. . . The Jetty is so picturesque. If you get the chance to drive up the NSW North Coast, take the scenic route via The Jetty. You won’t be disappointed. . . One of the things I find most fascinating about photography if the impact of the light at different times of day to the image. I especially love being able to take photos early morning and late afternoon for that reason.
