My girl had one of those crazy good dream dance weeks. With dance competition and school performing arts musical in the same week, my daughter danced EVERY. SINGLE. DAY, which to her, you know, is the sweetest deal. Seven days, ... 2 group competitions, 1 solo competition, 3 dress rehearsals, 2 matinees, 4 evening shows... but it was worth it because she performed the pieces she loves, created by people she loves, dancing with the people she loves. And she gave it her all (which is probably why she's sick now). So, when her teacher tells me that she's one of her hardest working students she's had the pleasure to teach, I'm so gratified and not entirely surprised. Dance mom duties of driving these kids around and making sure they're fed kept me busy (and SO very happy that, as a business owner, I can be time flexible). Being support staff, watching them do what they love, enjoying their growth and development, that's what parenthood is about, right?! And, of course, #DanceMomPaparazzi was in full force this week!
