At a certain point, the pain of *not* doing something becomes greater than the pain of actually doing it. And that’s when change happens.

It feels much easier to experience inconvenience of exercise than it is to endure feelings of negativity, lethargy & full-on sloth mode!

Most of the friction in creating a new habit is at the start. If you can make just ONE step in the direction, motivation will FOLLOW the action.

Motivation is fickle. It’s fleeting. If you are waiting around to be motivated, you may be waiting for a while.

Have you ever said, “I want to lose weight,” & then you didn’t lose it?

I sure have. And it’s because I didn’t automate or make an actionable plan to achieve it.

People who make a clear specific PLAN are much more likely to follow through.

How do you start? First, nail down a time & a place for your habit to happen.

Here’s some ways to change up your words, which will in turn, change your actions:
▪️”I want to eat healthier” —> I will eat 3-5 servings of veggies everyday
▪️”I want to sleep more” —> I will go to bed at 10pm so I get 7-9 hours of sleep
▪️”I want to workout more” —> I will commit to working out 3x a week, after work, for 30 minutes.
▪️”I want to improve my relationship with my partner/spouse” —> I will make us both coffee in the morning & ask how their day went after work.

Eliminate the abstract fluffernutter nonsense & you leave space & time to actually get a real plan in place!

If your goals are vague or unclear, it’s easy to just let life pass us by as we wait for the perfect time to start.

But when you have a plan in place w/ accountability, you can more easily avoid things that derail you or distract you from getting closer to it.

Slightly chunkier / now weighing 4kg heavier with some extra meat on the bones (and around the abs).

Current sitch - 88kg, 46kg muscle mass, 8.6kg body fat which = 9.8% body fat.
.
My goal is to get back down to a maintainable 6-7% body fat at around 87kg.
.
That means losing around 3kg of body fat without loosing any muscle mass.
.
Boring cardio machines and aggressive carb cutting combo will only result in a skinny fat look that nobody wants.
Strength training, conditioning, high intensity workouts and plenty of my favourite outdoor sports - swimming, running, biking, tennis & golf will all play a part.

Hard work + consistency = results.

No-one gets fit in a day, it takes time and consistency - trust the process, stay focused and enjoy the journey
