Hosanna in the highest!’" - Mark 11:9-10 Today is commemorated as Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Jesus’ death where people were celebrating the long anticipated Savior of Israel, the conquering King! And the conquering King He was, but not in the way Israel was anticipating. Jesus came humbly but powerfully. Not to defeat their earthly oppression, but their spiritual separation from Holy God and their indwelling sin and death.
