Do you struggle with confidence?
Up until I was 19, I struggled to accept my body + mind as they were.
With everything this world throws at us, from impossible beauty standards, to how we should or shouldn’t be - it’s understandable that so many feel less than confident.
A few days ago someone DM’d me, asking for help with confidence.
I gave her the same answer I gave the young girls at the Esther conference a few weeks ago (because instead of “fake it till you make it”, they should be learning things that will actually help them!)
I know what it feels like to hate your body.
I know what it feels like to second guess everything you do.
I know what it’s like to be aware of absolutely everything you say... and question it.
But in life, our identity is in Christ.
I am confident in who I am because of who HE is.
In all truth, there is no confidence Iike God confidence.
When I was 19 I began praying for a different way.
I was tired of hating myself and punishing my body with endless cardio.
God and weightlifting is truly what lifted my confidence.
Walking into a room with strength in God, and strength in your body will give you more confidence than attaining a specific “aesthetic”.
So I challenge you to do something everyday to build your relationship with God, and something everyday to build your relationship with yourself.
You are worth it.
