How would you feel if your baby suddenly just changed? The once happy, smiley and I’m going to be one of those annoying mums but “my baby never cries unless... like of babies suddenly became that baby that constantly cries? How would you feel if you could see your baby quite clearly in pain but there was nothing you could do? It’s been such a struggle if I’m honest to get a Dr to actually take us seriously. Today we accomplished something HUGE! I know it may not be a big deal to most people but this is our first “successful” tummy time.

Maisie loves her Jumperoo just like her sister did! In fact, I don't think I have met a baby who doesn't like a Jumperoo! She did not want to leave it to go to the hospital today. We had another appointment with the dietician who suspects a #cowsmilkproteinallergy or sensitive gut so we have a new milk to try. •MILK LADDER• In today’s blog post I’m sharing my tips for reintroducing milk if your child has been dairy free due to confirmed allergy. Link in bio We’ve had a few failed attempts along the way but my 4 year old can now eat cooked foods containing milk hurrah! We’ve also completed ladders for wheat, egg, oats and legumes. VICTORY..... On Carters ninth trip to the doctors we have FINALLY been given an urgent referral to paediatrics FINALLY.... I’m sure it will take a while for the appointment to come through, but I’m rested in the knowledge I’m finally going to get him sorted, his stool sample results are still yet to come back! But finally my banging on doors worked & one is opening!. He’s screamed & screamed all night the past few nights, hardly any down time from the constant pain! After research I just spouted the “N.I.C.E” guidelines as he meets all the criteria based on these guidelines for that urgent referral - so it was an easy argument to win when armed with the knowledge I needed. In the meantime I’ve also got them to prescribe him #ranitidine in the hope that it will settle his tummy issues in the short term, just in case it is a mix of #CMPA & #silentreflux #reflux as the gaviscon only made him constipated & worse, hoping the ranitidine is a little easier on his tummy. Getting the ranitidine wasn’t easy! I had to leave the GP & come back for prescription as she wanted advice on dosage!, on returning for the prescription they had prescribed omeprazole, I accepted it as I was assured it better then ranitidine .... then I get to the pharmacy & was told it would take 5 days to come in! As it was such a specialist medication No! No! No! So off I went back to the GPs surgery again, to argue again on what I needed!!! & eventually walked out with the ranitidine script! An hour later Honestly! Nothing is ever easy where I’m concerned. . . After over three weeks of hell watching him in agony, from conflicting advice, three different prescription milks, coleaf, A&E, gaviscon, stool samples, mucus in his stools, tears & stress on a level I’ve never had with ANY of my other babies, I’m hoping we are now on the right road to getting him sorted out. . . I gotcha baby boy! . Yesterday was such a pleasing day, because I had to take Zara to the hospital and we had to speak to a dietician about her weight and food. I’ve been quite open about Zara’s weight gain on here, however it’s always been in the back of my mind everyday, and going to the weigh in clinic each time was just a huge weight on my shoulders, I remember when the health visitor told me the day that Zara had lost so much weight we had to take her to see a paediatrician. It’s just so heartbreaking isn’t it, because you obviously want child to thrive and to know the fact that my own child wasn’t, was just so upsetting. The reason for Zara’s weight for being so low, was because of breastfeeding her, she wasn’t getting enough milk mainly because I had quite a low milk supply which I didn’t know at the time, and we also found out that Zara suffers from a cows milk protein, which also caused her weight loss. I did however managed 5 months of breastfeeding her before she was switched to her to new formula milk and I’m so pleased and proud of myself, that I did breastfeed her for that long. So as I was saying we finally got our little girl weighed again yesterday and her weight has shot right up, I honestly couldn’t be more happier, because her weight was sitting on the same line for so long, and now I have a little chunky baby girl who loves her new milk and fruity pouches!! ☺️ Our appointment went really well, and we have a review in a few months. I hope my little girl just continues to keep on growing and thriving throughout her stages of development. ✨ I hope by sharing my experience with this, I can be here to talk to any other mothers or fathers, if you are going through the same or even similar situation as me. We all worry because it’s a natural instinct, but we are all a community on here, and I will help the best I can.
