Throwing back to this project from last year that I made in and about Glasgow as it comes with a little update for anyone interested!... In a couple of months I'm excited to be moving back to sunny Glastown! Some of you will know that I've been living in London this past year which I have loved, honestly SO much and I know it'll be very hard to say goodbye! When I decided to move here I had in mind that I'd be in London for a long long time; but then God put a nice Scotsman called David in my way (the same week that I signed my lease!) and now I find myself being a biiig hypocrite as I always said I would never move somewhere for a bloke, but the truth is that long distance is a drag and I do miss Scotland an awful lot! I'm also majorly excited because I have a studio space to move into up there in a beautiful building called the Briggait working alongside some lovely creative souls Finding a studio has been one of my goals for a little while now and, as much as I've enjoyed working from home, I can't wait to move in and be surrounded by real human people instead of just being kept company by my own thoughts and the soft dulcet tones of @immyhmillinery sending me daily WhatsApp voice messages (which have definitely kept me sane this year and I hope will never stop! ❤️) I'll be moving in September so I've still got some time down here, but I thought it would be good to keep you all in the loop as I keep hopping cities every year at the mo! Risograph printing is a bit mysterious, but don’t worry, I’ve created this guide to assist you with your risograph experience. . HOW TO RISO: . Clear your mind. Slowly step towards the machine and greet the printer. . Take a deep breath, and lean down to quietly whisper a description of your design into the input tray. Remember to include details like colour and ink coverage, dimensions etc. . If the printer likes your idea, it will churn out 130 copies in 1 of your Earth minutes. If your idea is rejected, the barrels will whir around faster and faster until the risograph machine bursts into flames. . Say thank you to the risograph printer no matter what happens. . Risograph printing is easier on the environment, and the inks / prints are soooo beautiful. How is 2019 going for you?
