This is our third move towards environmental friendliness this month and can’t explain how good of a feeling this is. We got this compost bags from @repurpose and we are using it for a while now. one of the greatest joys of being a wedding photographer is growing with my couples beyond their wedding day. not only do I get to witness saying "yes", and "I do" and first kisses and first dances...I also get to capture growing bellies and first smiles and first steps ⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ keep an eye out tomorrow and check back here, when I'll be announcing a giveaway as we make the extra push to 3,000! it's gonna be a good one! ⁣⠀

baby blues ⠀ ⠀ approximately 100 years ago, when I was in elementary school, I had an enormous crush on our substitute teacher (Mr C*, let's call him). He had cool long-ish hair, a puka shell necklace, AND he played the guitar. dream boat.⠀ ⠀ of course, I was not alone. literally every girl in the 4th and 5th grade had a crush on this guy. and while it was completely delusional to think anything could come of this infatuation, that didn't stop us from trying.⠀ ⠀ one girl (with brown eyes) asked him to play "Brown Eyed Girl" on his guitar one day at recess. he did. and she thought she was on the path to a happy life with this man three times her age. ⠀ ⠀ so, not being one to handle jealousy well, I went home and researched (yes, researched - because google wasn't a thing.) songs about BLUE eyes so that I could re-establish myself at the top of the pack.⠀ ⠀ the next day, I asked him to play "Behind Blue Eyes"....not exactly the uppity tune I was hoping for.⠀ ⠀ to this day, I can't listen to that song - or Brown Eyed Girl for that matter - without blushing and groaning at how cringy that whole period of my life was. woof.⠀ ⠀ make me feel like part of a group, guys! hit me with your cringy elementary school tales!! ⠀
