Canada ELIMINATED DAIRY from their food guide! Why you may ask? Well, maybe because they offer universal health care to their citizens. Ask yourself, why would they promote something that increases the incidence of disease if they are paying all the medical bills Simple, they won’t because it makes no sense. ⠀
⠀
I am NOT 100% against all dairy products, BUT I only consume raw butter, raw colostrum, and whey protein. No other dairy products don't seem to offer enough benefit vs. the risks. ⠀
⠀
Do you still consume dairy Let us know how you feel about it? Whether you are for or against it.....⠀

When SHIT hits the fan.
Greyson is 5.5 months at this point.
We tried some Organic Sweet Potato & later that day he ended up like this.
FREAKING OUT!
I thought he was having a reaction to the sweet potato. To make a pretty long & complicated story short, after days of eczema/hives on his body & him being on a strict breastmilk only diet, I finally called a Lactation Consultant. Talking with her & sending her all the poop pics, rash pics, & unhappy baby pics she told me “it sounds like your baby is allergic to dairy”. I said well yea we switched him to Allimentum when he was a couple weeks old but I’ve been breastfeeding him. And then she asked if I was eliminating dairy from my diet Big fat NOPE.
WHY DOESN’T ANYONE TELL YOU THESE THINGS!!
That very second (as I was drinking coffee with probably more dairy creamer in it than coffee)... I stopped all dairy. Within 3 days his skin started clearing up. But some eczema persisted. So in doing my research & with the assistance of my LC, I decided to try the top 8 allergy elimination diet. It was pure HELL. But it was so worth it because I figured out my little guy was also allergic to Soy.
After a few weeks & some really hard/self-loathing momma times, we got things rolling. I had to learn all the possible dairy and soy names that can be hidden in food. The grocery store runs now took about an hour longer. The grocery bill went up exponentially. BUT my baby was happier & starting to thrive & I wouldn’t change any of it!

I’m finding it incredibly hard to describe our experience this week at @socalfoodallergy. I keep deleting my captions and rewriting completely different things. There’s so much to say and so many emotions to portray but all I can really articulate is that we know we are in the right hands with Dr. Randhawa. We feel like we have met the one person who understands Pearl’s food allergies better than we do. Today was one of the most emotional days we have had (Pearl & Ronnie included ) but to know we are on our way to food freedom is all we could ever ask for. {I will FOREVER be indebted to my dearest friend @mrsshondeff for introducing us to this program}
sharing this bowl from a few days ago SO happy cozy #oatmealbowl wednesday ✨ oops... totally not a thing but nothing like enjoying this warm, balanced, nutritious, + delicious bowl ♥️ ALWAYS DAIRY-FREE!
PSA: my sweet 3-month old has developed hives these last 4 days + the doctors at her pediatrics clinic can’t pinpoint what it is ♀️ she has #dairyallergy already. SO, what I did was cut out anything containing peanuts these past 3 days (everyone knows I LOVE my pb ) + she hasn’t broke out since... might be a #peanutallergy? OH NO ♀️ hope we find out what it is ASAP - it doesn’t seem to bother her but my girl is a champ + still the brightest ray of sunshine ✨

I can't believe my baby girl is already 11 months!! I've gotten so many questions lately from other moms and expectant moms on how I manage. Honestly, some days are overwhelming! My biggest pieces of sanity-saving advice are to ask for help from family and friends, build a mom tribe, and to take "smart shortcuts." One smart shortcut is Ready, Set, Food! <#rsfpartner> Recent clinical trials have shown that introducing potentially allergenic foods to infants early and often can significantly reduce the risk of infants developing food allergies. Ready, Set, Food! It is a guided system of gentle introduction of organic powdered milk, egg and peanuts. It eliminates the guesswork (and messwork of measuring) -- all you need to do is add one of the packets to your baby's milk or food each day! I’ve been using it daily since my baby was under five months and have been recommending it to all of my friends. I just pour one packet into her first bottle of the day and there is no need to measure or track!
