The Dane axe was a special two handed axe used by the elite shock troops of Viking lords, Anglo-Saxon kings, and the Byzantine emperor's Varangian guard. Despite it's large size the head weight of this axe is only 1.1lbs. This axe is made from a single piece of specially chosen alloy steel.
