Winter makes my draught horse shifts so strong, and even though I havent figured out exactly what my breed is im fine with that, im a big horse thats all I need to know. I step out into the snow and I almost immediately shift. Phantom shift, mental shift, the whole package. I dont know what it is exactly but something about winter, and my boots always make me shift, they feel like my huge hooves. The strong feeling I get when I walk, it's one of my strongest shifts that's for sure, and one of my favorites. • I used to pull my little brother in a sled behind me in the wintertime. I'd construct my own "harness" and I'd pull him around as he wore his little Santa hat. My head swaying and my hooves clopping with every step, it's such an amazing jittery feeling. I LOVE to pull, I always have. I used to pull my nieces as well and they'd even call me "horsey", I'm not sure why but that will always be one of my favorite memories. • I like to walk on my toes, it feels like I'm walking on hooves because my heel isn't right on the ground, it's hard to explain unless you're a horse therian (or a therian with similar anatomy) and you've tried it. But this usually helps if I ever feel dysphoric, which isn't all that often luckily. I've seen boots on Etsy called "Hoof Boots", and basically they're high heels without the heels, and they look like hooves and I've wanted them for ever! But they are insanely expensive and most definitely out of my price range, so maybe one day in the far future. They would be so much fun to walk in and would make me shift like crazy! • So yeah! •Daydreaming• I often daydream about being able to shapeshift and take the form of my theriotypes but still be able to communicate with humans. My daydreams are frequently about me shapeshifting to protect my loved ones from harm in one way or another, usually my mate. I've always had extremely strong protective urges and sometimes they can be seriously hard to control, especially considering I have the soul of an animal. • Some days can really be a struggle, feeling that emptiness, like I'm missing a part of me and daydreaming can be a helpful escape, if used wisely. By that I mean there is a time and place for it and work and school aren't the best, but when spare time arises it's an amazing, relaxing experience. I reccomend it, it really encourages imagination and creativity and also can be a huge mood boost.
