It’s starting to look a bit more like spring, finally! Here’s a quick rundown. . Intake 2 - open and looking fishy. Several people were trying their luck out there today. . So. Fork & Middle forks of Bishop Creek - running a bit high but access is pretty decent below 9000ft. It’s gets a bit snowy higher than that but is mostly accessible. . Sabrina - the road is open but the lake is mostly frozen but there is some open water...so no ice fishing, and no boats yet. . North Lake - the road is still closed just below Sabrina Campground...probably a bit before this opens. No word on the conditions at the lake. . South Lake - still frozen and the road is closed just past Parchers, but if the conditions at Sabrina are any indication, I wouldn’t dare try ice fishing. The road won’t likely open until there is some open parking at the lake. . The weather has been gorgeous most of the week...sounds like we have some rain coming in, but we’ll have to wait and see. . The hiking trails are mostly snow covered so it’s gonna be a little bit before there’s much hiking going on...unless you’re into the snow hiking thing or backcountry skiing.
