TQ Rating: 6️⃣.7️⃣5️⃣ New TQ Top Tip #tacotip - if you go up to order and ask what the best taco on the menu is / their favorite and someone says "the chicken tacos," turn around and run. And by run I mean a slight shuffle depending on how many tacos you've already eaten . But seriously... We always go for the trusty trinity (carnitas, carne asada, al pastor) and then ask what the best is. This spot recommended the chicken tinga and we should've known better. I mean come on, unless it’s some crazy fried chicken or unreal preparation then a chicken taco is just never going to wow anybody ‍♂️ . Beautiful looking tacos (so props on that @cielitolindomsk ) but the beauty in aesthetics did not translate into the flavors. We hit the chicken ‍♂️ , the carnitas and the barbacoa. Long story short, the chicken and carnitas were both tender but lacked flavor and the depth a taco deserves and the barbacoa had some flavors going but was plagued by that dry and stringyness that sometimes happens to this usually gorgeous meat.
