A touch of drizzly weather means I’m cooking up a storm again in the kitchen today. I’ve made two more apple & blackberry crumbles ~such a comforting breakfast or dessert, I’m slowly simmering an Asian inspired chicken soup for dinner and right here is the prettiest lunch I’ve made in a long while! Oh my goodness they tasted as good as they look too!
Nasturtium leaves and flowers are edible and are always a lovely addition to salads. I mostly love to munch on a bloom or two whilst frolicking the gardens, giving me that peppery, wasabi like hit I have become quite addicted to! I have balanced the peppery hit with some finely diced lovely ripe home grown pear , added just-blanched carrot (softened only to not allow it to tear through the rice paper sheets), basil, mint and some cucumber. We dipped these in hoisin sauce but many sauces would go well with this. We didn’t add any vermicelli noodles, but glad we didn’t as sometimes I find it makes them a bit too heavy.

This has been one of my favorite all time raw meals since I began my healing journey 8 years ago! Raw bread or any raw cracker will do, smear a good layer of cashew cheese on top, layer with fresh crunchy sprouts, juicy tomato slices and cracked black pepper. I have been eating these flax breads I picked up in Florida with cashew cheese, tomatoes and sprouts for days now and loving it!!! ⭐️

To many people give up taking care of their own bodies and blindly just go to doctors and think that if they take the meds they are prescribed they will heal them and make them healthy. These meds aren’t life savers and only mask the symptoms instead of treating the cause.
