Got these boards all waxed up and will buff them out in a bit. Did some stories on it, but genuinely just love the product. I’ve tried Howard’s, Odie’s, homemade, and other, but I’m sticking with @walrusoil Not trying to be all product pushing here, just really happy with the results and longevity of soaking boards in mineral oil or the cutting board oil, and then finishing with this wax. #notanad #justmytwocents #takeitorleaveit

Juice grooves! Well...test run went great on the other end grain board, but second pass for this one went a bit deep...which, just made for a bunch of extra work. Should be able to blend it in, but glad this board is for me.

Have the keys all glued up and squared on the piano end grain cutting board I've been working on. Time to attach it to some end grain walnut! This one should be on the website sometime next week or you can contact us to reserve it today!

Raising the grain summer style! The brick board was a prime candidate for using water balloons to raise the grain between sanding grits. Nothing like how Walnut transforms. Can’t wait to get them in oil to keep that rich contrast.

First end grain cutting board headed for second glue up! This board is for a repeat client. There will have magnets in the bottom and will fit on his @traegergrills hopper lid! Sure love what I do! Good to be back in the shop! Lots going on in the new space already! Keep those orders coming!

You guys... I. Can. Not. Begin to tell you how much time I’ve spent thinking about making a brick board. For at least two years I’ve been dreaming about this moment. While I know some have made edge or face grain brick boards, I knew it would have to be end grain for me. I kept waiting and hoping I’d have a drum sander before jumping into end grain boards. But not yet, so router sled for me. I know some roll the dice and run it through the planer, but too many horror stories even with precautions. Excited to make this finally happen!
