Is coffee grown at higher altitude better?
What are your thoughts?
If the coffee plants are well cared for then I believe they are!
Coffee grown at higher altitudes tend to produce higher acidity levels with complex flavour and aromatic profiles.
That being said, environmental factors also have a big part to play with certain crops producing underwhelming harvests.
However, I’ve had a number of coffees from low altitude regions that have been outstanding! .

High altitude: slower growth, more dense
Lower altitude: quicker growth less dense. .
