So a bit of heart to heart. The other day a customer fell in love with a pair of breeches. Honestly she looked amazing and they were so cute on. Her face lit up, she smiled back at herself in the mirror and the color was perfect. Even another customer said “You look awesome!” It was a flattering fit and I was genuinely thrilled for her. A minute later her friend came over, looked her up and down and went “ugh, that’s a no!” My customer turned white, all traces of joy left her face, and she responded “yeah, ok”. The customer ended up handing them back saying “she just didn’t feel like shopping anymore”. My heart broke for her. I wanted her to have that confidence to be her, be true to herself but it wasn’t there. All, be proud of who you are and what you like, it’s really and truly ok to be you and like what you like.
