These two are my precious babies rescued from Romania, I had reserved Luna but as she kept getting sick the transport kept getting put back in the meantime my friend Amy reserved another pup for her to foster (to travel with Luna as she was the only survivor of her litter after getting parvovirus) anyway that other pup was Zorro... little did I know I would be adopting him too.... anyway a few days before travel Luna got sick again so Zorro travelled alone, I fell in love straight away and adopted him three months later Luna arrived they got on like a house on fire! They’ve both been through so much trauma & survived health problems. They both had parvovirus, zorro had demodex mange, Luna had sarcoptic mange, zorro had staphylococcal pyoderma infection, Lunas got radius curvus syndrome, zorro was then diagnosed with EPI, Luna then got endometriosis, kidney stones & found out her right kidney is deformed through being crushed by her spine, zorro has a irregular heart beat, then Lunas hips and knee ligaments twist and cause them to pop & so much more but guess what?! They are the strongest dogs I know, zorro is still petrified of people BUT they’ve come soooo far and I couldn’t be more proud . . I’m applying because their story has touched many, also helped people understand some of the health issues and behaviours dogs can get. For example people have come to me for help when their dog has been diagnosed with EPI or their dog has developed a behavioural problem etc. But my word is when getting a dog like this you need to be prepared for anything, yes you may end up spending thousands on vet bills and dedicate your life to these dogs, you can’t just chuck them out when you can’t be bothered or aren’t prepared for a bump in the road. I currently weigh in at 22,4 kg and have been for a few weeks now. My record weight is 22,8. A healthy weight for a dog my size is aproximetly 25-26 kg. Can you imagine that my weight dropped to 17,8 in April? That's how incredibly skinny and sick I was... Since her diagnosis she's so used to me checking her weight every week, so when I say " Rose ska vi väga dig?" she comes running and put her paws on the scale and waits for me to pick her up. Sorry for being MIA! Our life is a mess right now. But Rose has been quite stable and well for a couple of weeks. I've changed her diet and supplements. She's still on the Creon 25000, since I haven't managed to get hold of raw pancreas yet. Her appetite is however super lousy, but keeping a steady weight around 22-23 kg, which is great! Hi everyone, • Some of you already know we nearly lost zorro last year due to EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency) which he will now have for the rest of his life. • Unfortunately they say some dogs manage and some perish • Zorro is only two years old, but is at a very low weight (was 18.6kg now 13kg) and on some days he has no energy and can't walk so he got carried on walks in our arms and would fall asleep. • So now he has his very own bed on wheels! • I'd like to thank all the people who have supported me! #buggybaby #epi #exocrinepancreaticinsufficiency #dogbuggy
