This title. Read it again.
It is SO good, and a bit heartbreaking. With this book we hope to continue to conversation about autoimmune disease. Many times, these diseases are defined by the fact that a persons body is literally attacking itself, causing pain, among other things. The body, is in fact, living it's undoing.

Pictured here is Suzanne Edison (Poet), Jane Buckner (President of BRI) and Kay Branz (Director of Communications) looking over the pages of the book as we discuss layout. What keeps you up at night? This question was one that was asked to the interviewees; caretakers, nurses, researchers, clinicians. And the answer is important, because there is no right answer. But there is hope that one day there will be one.
We had Suzanne Edison, poet extraordinaire, interview 28 different people and the responses are candid and quite remarkable. The interviews are what have inspired the poetry and art in the publication "The Body Lives Its Undoing". #benaroyaresearchinstitute #artandscience #benaroyaresearch #autoimmunedisease #autoimmune #autoimmunepoetry #liveyourundoing #poetryproject #bookpublishing #poetrybook #exploringautoimmunedisease #suzanneedison
