I went back to my mother-in-laws to take a finished photo with the elephants in their final position. We gave this garden as a present for Mother’s Day. The last photo I posted the patio was still drying. I glued them down and replaced a few of the succulents that didn’t make it #minifairygarden #teacupgarden
A close up & views from above of our Christmas barrel garden. This one is at the entrance to our home and has solar lights inside the house that come on at night ✨Swipe to see the views from above ➡️➡️ taken at Christmas in summer, March in spring and now in winter. Sometimes with this house I wonder if there is really someone at home #minifairygarden

We may or may not have put too many bricks in this garden These are actually not bricks but 1:12 paviors (pavers) which are bigger and thinner than bricks & much less fiddly to lay. There were lots left over from a previous project and the colours (called ‘dark stock’) went so well with this house.
We used landscape liquid nails for bricks/masonary, which is especially for outdoor work. The back of the brick wall is covered in a thick layer so it would remain supportive as a retaining wall. The steps can be lifted out so different plants can be planted into this lower garden.
All light golden foliage were chosen to brighten and contrast against the darker coloured brick.
The little dog became the star of this garden when finished so ended up giving him a little brick platform ( yes more brick!) for a kennel, bowl and even made him a little soft bed to go in the kennel as didn’t want him to get cold!
The plants used are:- -Lemon scented conifer ( Cupressus macrocarpa ‘Wilma’) largest tree -Chamaecyparis Obtusa ( Golden Nugget) tree left of house -Sedum gold mound -Sedum acre
-Golden Baby’s Tears -Thyme Doone Valley
-Sagina Subulata Aurea
-Golden Dwarf Diosma -Aeonium domesticum Variegatum (very slow growing but will eventually get too big for this garden) -Bonsai starter- Ulnus parvifolia ( next to house) -Armeria Maritima Alba
-Various other sedum in pots
The sellers products used to make this garden are tagged.

This is the copper pot garden that is now the home to the micro vintage tub garden I made last week. My favourite plant in this garden is the alpine plant in the left corner called Ewartia Catipes, a lovely blue green colour with the tiniest leaves I have been waiting for a sweet little vintage 1:24 cast iron furniture set to come from Canada so I could take a nice photo of this garden. After three months of waiting I have given up it arriving and put the micro garden into here instead! Have you ever been really excited about a parcel arriving and it took forever or never came? ♀️ #minifairygarden
