Happy Monday!! Here’s a sneaky peek at some fairytale beasties that I am working on! I love fairytales and stories- my favorite thing to do as a kid was to close the curtains in my bedroom and have just a lamp on, and I would put on my favorite story cassette tape and just have a merry old time drawing away. Instead of being afraid, I could become something to fear.” • • • so with this being such a popular book I had seen many a review/opinion before picking it up- and from what I gathered I knew it’d be a 50/50 chance of me loving or hating it.. I’m glad I took the chance because I’m trash for this book✌ • I was absolutely hooked from chapter one! y’all this book is INTENSE. I looooove how true it stayed to all the old fae legends I grew up reading about✨ hit me right in the childhood feels I will say I was heckin uncomfortable at the way the story handles murder and abuse. but its an aspect of the overall fairy world that made it such a realistic, raw and interesting story. but let me tell you it makes for the majority of the characters to be either morally grey or just straight up despicable‍♀️ • i adore Jude tho she’s one of those main characters that I don’t relate to in the slightest but I understand her and appreciate her overall character development • I’m soooo ready to read The Wicked King
