Do you have a hard time finding balance? ✨

I know I do. It’s been one of the greatest challenges in my yoga practice both on and off the mat. Some days it’s there, while other days it’s a work in progress. One thing balance has taught me that it’s okay to say NO, slow down and prioritize myself (even if it means spending the entire day at home to watch Netflix).

Balance isn’t static - it’s ever changing. Sometimes we lean in, while other times we back away. Sometimes we move a lot to sustain it, while other times it’s simply there. But most importantly, balance is about getting out of our head, accepting how feel and honoring our body, mind and spirit as it is in the present moment. This is how we ultimately stay grounded in our truth.

Do you hate confrontation?

If so, you’re not alone. I absolutely HATE confrontation to the point that I have a hard time saying NO. I try to avoid it at all costs, saying yes to people, things and situations simply because I don’t want to disappoint anyone. But in the end, I would find myself frustrated, disappointed and hurt simply because I committed myself to something that didn’t feel aligned with my intuition. And the only person I had to blame was me.

However, little by little, I’ve come to realize how empowering it is to say NO. This past month, I’ve said NO to underpaid jobs, one-sided relationships and unwanted dinner dates. I’ve never felt happier, freer and more at peace than I’ve ever felt before.

What I’ve come to realize is that saying NO is the ultimate expression of self-love. Each time we honor our gut‘s feelings of YES and NO, we begin to align ourselves with our Higher Purpose. We discover a quiet, unshakeable confidence within the depths of our souls that extends beyond external validation. We no longer worry about pleasing others; instead, we tap into the Universal power that lies within each and every single one of us, raising our vibration to the frequency of unconditional love

PRESS WALK FOR PRESS HANDSTAND

#PressHandstand is all about bringing your hips over your hands by leaning forward. And to do so, it's so essential to control your shoulder blades.
This drill will help you to understand how much you need to lean forward with the shoulder blades protracted
.
Take #uttanasana with your feet on a blanket. Place your palms flat under the shoulder with your arms straight.
.
Lift your heels high as you inhale, and lean forward max as you exhale. Avoid squeezing your shoulder blades. Instead, protract them and round your back like in cat pose.
Slide your feet forward by transfering your weight from your feet to your hands.
.
Repeat this movement without any momentum. So no jumping, simply move your hips over your hands and feet slide forward.

Go backwards in the same way. Place your hands under the shoulder, lift your heels, lean forward, and slide your feet back by shifting the weight on hands.
.
Maintain the protraction of the scapular for each movement. This action will help you to engage the chest muscles not only the triceps.
.
All you want is lifting your hips over your hands. Our pelvis is the heaviest part, so once you managed to get your hips over the hands, you'll start to feel your feet get lighter!

Stretch and warm-up your wrist & hamstrings well before you attempt it
