Getting a lot of questions about my gym routine so I’m going to post again.
MY SPLIT
Mon: legs (quads, inner thighs)
Tues: shoulders, abs
Wed: light weight/body weight legs/glutes
Thurs: arms (triceps/biceps), abs
Fri: REST
Sat: legs (glutes, hamstrings, outer thighs)
Sun: back, abs

I do 10-20 of cardio about 5 days a week prior to my weights. Either sprints on treadmill, stair master or plyos. I do my cardio at start because I like the sweat to carry on into my weightlifting and mostly because if I don’t do it to start I’ll never do it at end! .

So this is my personal routine I created for myself. Building my legs/abs has been my focus for about 6 months (hence heavy attention to it) 3 leg days is a little extreme, especially for a beginner so please keep that in mind. Also my upper body muscle was all built prior to macro counting when I paid more attention to it. The fat layer was shed and this was underneath

Outfit details in my story
This was me about 3 yrs ago. Approximately 40lbs heavier. Years of terrible eating and not enough activity finally caught up with me. I knew I needed to make a change with my food but had no idea where to start

I was completely overwhelmed by the idea of following some special diet so I decided to try and eat “low carb”. So I ate in my mind what I thought was low carb and I lost about 30lbs over 2.5 doing this along with weightlifting

I had been stuck around 130 lbs and the weight was starting to tick back up again because I was getting lax with my food choices. Eating ice cream and sweets while eating “low carb” is certainly not low carb anymore and I was now for sure in caloric surplus
.

August 2018, enter macro counting and real caloric deficit. The rest is history. Have been uping my calories since September to find maintenance
.

Please keep in mind the muscle I have now has been building over last 3 years. It grows even more when you are in surplus. So once the fat layer was removed this was all underneath. You do not have muscle under your fat unless you have built it

Some people are disappointed with the way their bodies look as they lose weight and my only advice is you have to lift weights to get the curves and give skin something to grab onto...otherwise it just hangs

If you are just starting, stay with it! Results are possible at any age. I never in a million years thought this was possible for me. Have to stay the course even when it’s not fun or you are not happy with your results that particular day. Hard work always pays off... I promise. ❤️SC
