Before social media was a thing I was a personal trainer and nutritionist. After leaving my first year of university I knew it was what I wanted to do. I did my certification, found a job right away and later went to school for nutrition. It was hard at first, I didn’t know what I was doing. I quickly became very busy and one of the top in the company that I first worked for. I really bonded with many of my clients and really enjoyed it. It became a very challenging and rewarding career, a time in my life I will never forget. It taught me so much about myself and what I need in life. Had I not left university I would have always wondered about this. Every life has a path, just allow yourself to go down it. . . . Although it was awesome and my clients were getting amazing results, I wasn’t healthy enough to take on this challenge. I was still young and had no idea what illness I was battling and what illness was about to take me down. The binge eating was also still on rampage. Only a couple years prior to this, I didn’t leave my room for three days and literally only ate tuna out of can because I couldn’t leave my house and that’s all I had. I thought that moving home and doing this would make everything better. Although I loved this job it broke me down emotionally because I gave so much of my energy and time to my clients and left nothing for me. I ended up gaining a lot of weight and ending up more sick in the end. I look great in this photo because I was training for a fitness show but even that was a disaster, not a good choice for me. I ended up leaving to finish my degree in business, a place where I was much more comfortable health wise. . . . Although I’ll never regret this part of my life, it taught me a huge lesson. It taught me that I need to take care of myself first, and that I wouldn’t have much if I wasn’t healthy. It’s important to do what makes you feel best both professionally and personally. Never push yourself past your boundaries or what you are capable of in that time. We all have a journey and we are all at different parts of our life, don’t compare yourself to others just do what’s best for you always.

Day 54/66 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Killer workout today. Did a bunch of HIIT followed by a bunch of upper body burnouts. I had a limited window, so I hunted down my nearest gym and smashed it. I’m attending AMC’s 24 hour Oscar movie marathon and needed to get some blood pumping in contrast to the stationary sitting I’ll be doing for the next....4 1/2 hours lol BTW I think Green Book is taking the win for best picture!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On a side note, if you’ve ever judged someone for filming themselves during a workout, Shame on you. We’re all here trying to live our best lives. Day 31/66 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With the weather as cold as it’s been last couple of days today was definitely designated rest day. To be honest my body has been begging me for this though. I hit the gym pretty hard my last two visits and while I don’t regret it in any way, I’m happy to take it easy, drink tea, and stay warm & toasty in my snoopy robe ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All in all today was a peaceful day, even got to sketch a little. The best part about being an artist is being able to create whatever you want when you need or want to for your own home or others. Day 44/66 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s my “I’m too busy” “have so much going on” workout. Sound on if you like reggae! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We all get busy, but all we have to do to stay healthy is fuel our selves with good food and move our bodies. How you do that, well that’s up to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know a little something about feeling to busy to do things for your health. I literally just finished a renovation, I have a 7 year old grown up to raise, demanding Job, and a family to take care of. I got mixed matches socks and crayons coming out of my ears. So when there’s just “too much” to do, find a way to move your ass anyway. Soooooo..... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Instead of not going to the gym I borrowed some weights that were in the apartment I’m working in and got to work during my “break”. Doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing, there’s always something/someone to lift or use for your workout. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those of you asking, I’m a muralist in real life lol I have to make money to buy all my gym clothes!
