The past 10 weeks with a newborn and toddler have been really challenging. Some days I can’t even make it out of the house I finally decided to enlist some help by getting a baby nurse and she’s been a freaking lifesaver! I’m getting to do so many things that I couldn’t before without feeling like I’m up against a shot clock.

Today I got to spend 2 hours walking and playing with my toddler (see my stories). It was so wonderful since I’ve been having major Mom guilt about not spending enough time with her since her sister arrived.
It may not seem like a big deal but it meant everything to me.

What a difference a few weeks make?! 2 weeks after giving birth via c-section, it was a struggle to put on pants and walk 10-15 mins. Today at 5 weeks postpartum, I walked for about 45 mins including tackling my a hill with my stroller (see my stories) and it felt great.
I won’t be cleared to exercise until next week and sleep is still few and far between but boy did this stroller walk make me feel happy and hopeful for a strong recovery.

My baby’s a month old! I seriously cannot believe how quickly time is flying. Feels like just yesterday I was running with her in my stomach and trying everything under the sun to get her out
I haven’t been posting much because I’m just trying to soak it all in. I’m also not getting much sleep since my little one is in cluster feeding mode But her little face and soft snuggles makes it all worth it

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG,) exercise during pregnancy can help ease back pain and constipation, and it can help you lose the baby weight after delivery. Staying active during pregnancy can also help expecting moms avoid complications during labor and delivery. Specifically, exercising while pregnant can be beneficial for women who have a history of preeclampsia, gaining an excessive amount of weight during pregnancy, or gestational diabetes.
Most exercises are safe to perform during pregnancy, as long as youexercise with caution and do not overdo it. It's important exercising safely, understanding the modification of your body during pregnancy and your limitations, because each body is different.

Me and this babe are excited to be back into a pretty normal routine. Morning sickness comes and goes, but I’m thankful that I can workout. Because I actually feel better when I do! I’m actually surprised I still have abs after all the carbs we’ve been enjoying! ☺️
