Hellooo my new and my faithful followers! 〰️ Here’s a picture of me with tired, puffy eyes and messy hair on midsummers day, collecting flowers. Midsummer here in Scandinavia is a big celebration 〰️ we are close to the North Pole which makes the summers here very bright, and in June we celebrate the Summer Solstice in a ritual we call “Midsummer” or “The midnight sun”. The day the sun doesn’t set. 〰️ One of my favourite things around that time is to stay up as late as possible, or the whole night, to watch the bright night pass. That’s what I had done in this picture Leading up to the celebration you pic flowers and plants for different reasons, one is to predict the future through dreams and another is for decorating yourself and the midsummer pole. I try to pick different flowers each year, this year I went on a medicinal theme, while last year was field-flowers Here are some photos of the setting midnight sun (taken around midnight) which I quietly observed together with my old aunt and a cup of coffee.
