Hi all, @christofferenglund_streetphoto here with a photograph from a late night stroll
.
Often times my photos include people. I let them tell the story and sort of paint the picture. This makes me forget composition from time to time, meaning buildings sometimes imitate the leaning tower of Pisa. And that’s fine but I like symmetry too and to get my composition just right feels awesome.
.
Is composition everything? I don’t think so. It’s a part of it. And if you have other ways of expressing yourself without perfecting your composition, go for it!
.
Do you agree?
Hej hej, @christofferenglund_streetphoto here with a blurry but love-filled Stockholm city pic
.
When the sun never sets and the heat never settles, we roam the streets and kiss beneath dangling street lights.
.
I like the movement in photos. If a person walks, he or she walks. If your vision is blurred but your mind is crystal clear the scene is magical but visually flawed. I just recently realized my fascination for imperfection. Or maybe honesty.
.
The other day I talked about editing my photos the way I experienced the scene as I was there photographing it. That applies to the moment I capture a scene as well. I want to capture it so that it represents what I truly feel at that very moment.
.
Let me know your thoughts on this!
Takeover time and @christofferenglund_streetphoto presenting casual Batman on his way home from work
.
This is one of, if not my first ever street photo. I was just testing out the camera, shooting from the hip, scared and nervous that someone would notice me and slap the camera out of my hand.
.
Fortunately that didn’t happen, I got the shot and didn’t think about it until I got home to edit it. To my surprise I had just caught Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, on his way home after a full day of crime fighting.
.
Sometimes the story forms after you have taken the picture. And I love the excitement in that!
.
Happy Sunday!
Hi hello, @christofferenglund_streetphoto greeting you this fine and rainy Saturday with another picture taken outside of work
.
Sometimes you’re lucky enough to catch the little moments. The ones that happen and then disappear before you get a chance to blink. And the only reason you captured that very moment was because you brought your camera.
.
If you feel that you’re stuck, and that you’re not going out as much as you would like to, I have a few tips that helped me shoot more!
.
1️⃣ Get a camera that inspires you. 2️⃣ Get a UV-filter and leave your lens cap at home. 3️⃣ Bring your camera, even if you’re not out to shoot. Just have it dangling from your shoulder. 4️⃣ Specific street photography tip: Pretend to be a tourist. People won’t mind you as much
.
What’s your best tip?
@christofferenglund_streetphoto here sneaking into your feed with a smokin’ picture from early March!
.
Images tell a story. Whether it’s a day at the fair, a fight on the street, a birthday party, a boat trip or your pet doing something cutie patootie. But the storyline doesn’t have to be straight. It could be whatever. And the story could differ between the viewer and the photographer, which I think is the beauty of photography.

Let me know if you agree!
