I must admit, this is not the way I imagined sharing a part of my fragrance collection would look like. And not every picture on my feed is a fancy one, this one certainly isn't, because the reality isn't always fancy. And this probably the craziest picture you'll see on your feed today While redecorating our bedroom, I had to take out all my clothes and fragrances, in order to move the closet a little bit. Seeing the huge amount of fragrances, stored in the bathtub ( the only safe place I could find ) should scare the crap out of me and make me declutter and get rid of at least half of my fragrances at once. Or it should make me feel ashamed of the fact that I have so much stuff. This is how the old me would have reacted. Always feeling guilty for having more than she should have, and not being able to properly enjoy any of her possessions, or any of the beautiful moments in her life. The new me does value her possessions and takes great care of her items. The new me knows that she deserves everything she owns, because she paid her debts in advance, even since she was a little girl, by living a very frugal and unhappy childhood. And decluttering and reevaluating her possessions, is something she does all the time, as a new habit, not as a current trend. Because she learned the hard way, that being impulsive, decluttering without proper thinking, following other people's examples, following other people's advices and current trends, without feeling like it was the right choice for her and for her life, was everytime a mistake she would later regret.... Because she knows that if she values and takes good care of her items, they will bring her years of 'sparking joy', not only a few moments.
