One whole year ago today a fuzzy little beast arrived in Brisbane. He had been shipped down from Emerald Pound where he was due to be put to sleep at just three months old. His name was Remi. He was a lot smaller then, a lot thinner and a LOT more scared too... But despite being scared within minutes of meeting him we both realised he liked kisses and cuddles, and deep down I knew he was going to be my kissy little boy for the rest of his life (if the rest of the crew liked him too that is). Well.. What can I say? He slotted into the pack as if he'd been here his entire life - even Tala loved him! So, Remi was renamed Franklin, and got a new collar and a new family for Christmas. It feels like he's been here for a lot longer than a year, I feel like I have been picking burrs out of his little beard forever Today we had activities planned to celebrate but Ex TC Owen had other ideas so we are staying inside and will do something next weekend instead. From being dumped at the pound to an irreplaceable member of this family, Franklin embodies your motto and has gone from pounds to paradise.
