Hey Guys!
Today I didn’t do that much because I was working almost all day and watched the champions league. I read a little bit from the JavaScript The Good parts book but will be back at it tomorrow!

See you tomorrow ✌

Swiping mechanism on the Home tab complete ✔
-
Refractored about 1.5k lines of code last night and this morning. I have been working on a way to allow users to swipe between some of the features views in the home tab (Habites, Notes, Lists, & New Secret Feature)!
-
Along with that I jumped into updating some UI throughout the app and getting a new UI for the authorization screens and adding google compatibility. Yes, users who already created account will be able to connect to google even if logged in
-
Exciting week ahead with getting the update done, launching a new iOS game, and then continuing work on some other small apps I’ll be streaming as well and getting some videos out on YouTube. Plus going to complete recording since I had to delete some of the recordings due to errors with background noise I could not get rid of ♂
-
Have a great start to the week!

NEW DESK NEW SETUP
Horizontal real estate on a vertical screen is pretty limited. Coding in Java via IntelliJ strictly ⛔️ HOWEVER, it’s super useful for database work, having a separate terminal open, and choosing banging playlists
.
Guess a laptop stand is useful for stopping my Mac from blowing up And of course Slack is open 24/7 so I can bug people using /giphy every couple of mins Don’t hate the player, hate the game
.
It’s Friday, time to put ya feet up and order an espresso martini (cafe patron if you’re hardcore like me )

So, why did I switch to Atom? Just read the list below and make your own conclusions:
.
Atom is free. Right, it’s completely free. Atom will never ask you to purchase a license. But if you miss the annoying popup from Sublime Text, just install the plugin.
.
Atom is open-source. That’s means if you want to make an improvements or fix a bug, then just fork atom/atom repo and send a pull request. If your changes are really useful, then they will be accepted. Many packages which were developed by community are included in Atom 1.0 release. Besides, thanks to open source, bugs are fixed faster, so if you’ve found a bug, please open an issue.
.
Atom has a big community. There are a lot of people which use and love Atom, so if you have any problem or question, take a look at Atom Discuss or Atom’s Slack, follow Atom’s twitter.
.
Atom is built using web technologies. I think almost everyone knows that Atom has been built with HTML, JavaScript (CoffeeScript), CSS (LESS), and Node.js integration through Electron. This is good and bad at the same time. It’s good because every web developer can make own package that will solve his/her problem without diving into native development. On the other hand, we have problems with slow loading (but it’s getting faster and faster after each release).
.
Atom is modular. Everything in Atom is modules: minimap, tabs, tree-view, etc. That means if you don’t like something, you can easily disable it, replace it by your own module or extend it using external modules. It’s up to you. And of course, most of these modules have free software licenses and are community-built and maintained.
.
Atom is hackable. Atom’s developers call it a “hackable text editor for the 21st Century.” It’s really easy to customize and style Atom. You can tweak everything in your UI. Just hack your init.coffee, keymap.cson, snippets.cson and styles.less files. By the way, if you don’t like something, hit Ctrl-Shift+I, inspect this element using developers tools and change it. Watch this video about setting up Atom.
.
Atom has built-in package manager. Yes, you have apm command out of your terminal

Many programmers use multiple screens. What is the point? How much code can they pay attention to anyway? Well, more than you might think.
In my experience there are two reasons for programmers using multiple screens…
First, it does have some tangible productivity benefits. For programmers multiple screens can be a big deal.

Ok I have to tell you something. I’m on vacation the next few days
I decided to take a break and relax. Far away from all the deadlines, stress & the customers. Just do what I love. And you know what I will do? Working on Passive Projects I have so many on my to-do list but I just can’t do it. Of course, I will also spend a lot of time with my family and my boyfriend . Just do what I feel like and relax. When was your last vacation?
Cant get any more screens than this
