Hola! I'm Mystrie (fun fact, I did a semester of learning Spanish a few years ago). I am the face, name, calligrapher, founder, bookkeeper, client happiness manager, creator of this creative business appropriately named Mystrie ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I started this business after the birth of my second baby because I wanted to create. And in the chaos of raising two under two, my own little piece of beauty came in the form of calligraphy. If you’ve tried calligraphy, you’ll know it can’t be rushed. It favours slow movement and a present mind. To me it is a perfect way to practice mindfulness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m a fan of the finer details – holding hands on a slow wander, observing the steam rising from a freshly made cup of tea, the movement and shape of shadows, listening to an old favourite at full volume in the car, the earthy scent after rain falls on the dry earth (did you know there is a name for that – “Petrichor” - and it was invented by an Australian scientist). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maybe the love of the smaller details in life are what led me towards calligraphy. Turning something practical like a place card (which directs a guest where to be seated) into their own personalised piece of art, with consideration for the style, colour and texture is so satisfying. It's such a simple way to make an impression, in the same way those finer details make an impression in our day to day lives. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

MY DAY, MY WAY! A day in the life of... How do you start your day? To me, the start of my day is sooo important, it sets me up for the rest of the day! I usually roll out of bed, missing all the pooches in my way around 6am. And affirm to myself I'm going to have a fan-friggen-tastic day Then it's staight off to the beach for a walk so I can see the view like in the pic - nothings calms me, grounds me and exhilarates me more than that kind of view and the sounds of those waves. Home for more self care - depending on what I feel I need I'll do some gratitude, journalling, tapping, meditation and anything that makes me feel good! Breakfast and then onto the day. I'll spend time interacting on social media, creating content etc. I'll prioritise my mortgage broking work and get that done and dusted. It's on and off through the day as enquiries come in and things come up. Depending on the day I'll spruce myself up a bit for lives and videos... while still wearing my trackies on the lower half! Customer appointments and meetings will get slotted into my day/week too. Working from home - I love that all that is done while snuggling my pooches #prouddogmama and means I can be flexible in my day. So for example I got to go to epic @fusionbizbabes event today with some incredible ladies to learn all about selling out events and workshops. Listening to @creating_steph from @hohperth has truly fired me up for next level baby It can be long days and hard work butI wouldn't have it any other way! Having the freedom to work from home and inspire and serve soo many makes it all so worthwhile
