Packing up. Has been a phenomenonal Féile na Bealtaine in Dingle. Sold so many pieces. Saw so many amazing shows. Was transformed by Colm Mac Con Iomaire's performance. Could not believe the powerful resonance of fellow westmeath artist Manchán Magan's show 'Arán agus ím' , mapping the geography of the otherworld as it intersects with our living reality. Met amazing people, Bruce and Mary from Mill Valley, California. Mary is an actress and Bruce an antique dealer who were unbelievably lovely and generous and wonderfully kind and bought a piece . A gorgeous young married couple who bought their first piece of art together, Linda Corcoran, who brought three pieces and commissioned another! Margaret Dineen, who I drank with at twenty, and now all these years later, is patronising my work. Catriona Fallon, CEO of Siamsa Tíre a long time friend, who kindly bought a piece. Marco Frettes, graphic designer who dropped in and bought The Green Head. Clodagh ó Mara who bought my first piece The Leafy Lady, and opened the floodgates. Then there is the gorgeous artist, weaver Lisbeth Mulcahy who supported me by buying a pen drawing and who so kindly let myself and Emer Fallon exhibit in the amazingly atmospheric attic space above her Weavers Shop. To all of the generous, gregarious and exciting people of Dingle, and all of those who took the time to come to our show, a huge warm thank you, your kindness and enthusiasm will nourish me for years.
