Last week we got a desperate email from a high kill shelter about a darling Great Dane mix puppy who was left at the shelter and tested positive for Parvo. He was devastated at being left behind and so sick and helpless, all he could do was lay his head on the soft bedding of his kennel and look at shelter staff as they tried to get his picture and assess his needs. Not a tail wag or even a tuck. When we got the email with this description and saw the deadline of 5pm that day, we knew we had to help this sweet boy and do everything we could to save his life. Today we are thrilled to say that Ozzie is on the mend! He spent nearly a week receiving the best care possible at one of our vets, and now he’s ready to move into a foster home, but our regular puppy fosters are already bursting at the seams! Ozzie needs to be fostered with someone who doesn’t usually have puppies in their home, and if there are other dogs they need to be fully vaccinated adults only.
