I started to build the TiffinTech community in hopes to empower and inspire others, and encourage others to explore technology, not be afraid of it, and consider getting into the tech industry. To break down stereotypes of what a developer looks like or that getting into coding or the technology industry is this big scary inaccessible thing. When in fact it is the opposite. As someone who switched my career path from fashion/modeling into the tech industry, I wanted to bring inspiration for others who want to make a career switch, that it is never “too late” and you can always be a student learning new things and taking on whatever path you aspire too.
✨GIVEAWAY!✨ Happy Friday, techies! . I know a lot of us here love our nerdy programming clothes and the socks I’m wearing are just that.
@stringandloopusa designs the patterns on their socks by utilizing Processing, which is a flexible software sketchbook and a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts.
Along with using computer algorithms to design the pattern of their socks, the ones I’m wearing have pictures from Google’s Quick Draw! Dataset. All the variations of dogs and cats on these socks were drawn by real people all over the world and stitched onto these super soft socks (made in the USA ).
I’ve partnered with @stringandloopusa to giveaway a pair of socks to THREE winners!
To enter:
Follow @stringandloopusa && @tassiapaschoal.
Tag your friends who may like a pair in the comments.
Like this post.
.
The winners will be picked at random on Monday, July 15th and announced in my Stories! Shipping within the United States only.
And don’t worry, if you don’t win the giveaway, you can still purchase a pair for 15% with my code TASSIA15

Friday is my second favorite F word, my first is FOOD. Definitely FOOD . Happy Friday everyone! I’m so ready to go home and relax with my little boy. I really don’t have any big plans for this weekend, just to continue learning about iOS development and maybe go to the movie theater to watch the latest Spiderman movie. I am a huge Spiderman fan
What plans do you have for this weekend?
Who is your favorite superhero?
✨ ✨
Today in Hacking with Swift session we worked on a simple web browser using WebKit. The whole thing takes only about 60 lines of code once you remove comments and empty lines , which shows you just how easy to use WebKit is.
Besides WebKit, we reviewed UIBarButtonItem, UIAlertController, UIToolbar (a toolbar component that holds UIBarButtonItems), UIProgressView, delegation, key-value observing, and WKWebView (Apple's extraordinary web widget).
WKWebView is a powerhouse on iOS , providing high-performance web rendering wherever and whenever you need, below are some of the most common uses for it:
↬ Making a web view fill the screen
↬ Loading remote content
↬ Loading local content
↬ Loading HTML fragments
↬ Controlling which sites can be visited
etc…
Have you used WKWebView before?
Have an amazing day everyone! ☺️
What's your main motivator for creating an app
•
A) making money off of it.
B) growing a large userbase.
C) learning new skills.
D) seeing what you're capable of accomplishing.
•
When I first started coding apps, all I thought about was A. But over time, I've changed to D.
•
I think the whole reason I wanted a business is because I'm curious what it takes to make a very successful app. I want to know what that journey is like. I want to go through the obstacles just to see if I can push through them.

What's your answer

What do you do in those moments?
.
#tbt when the weather was hot, I was at my favorite coffee shop eating my favorite vegan cake. But the reality is that I keep coding at home under the blankets, cold. ❄

#tbt de quando estava calor eu estava no meu café favorito, comendo meu bolo vegano favorito. Mas a realidade é que eu continuo codando em casa debaixo dos cobertores no frio. ❄

I feel like I need to come clean to you all
•
I don't code 24/7. I always post pictures of me coding because I feel like that's the part of my life my audience enjoys the most.
•
In reality, I spend half of my day doing content creation for all of my socials (I manage A LOT of accounts for me and my business). The other half of the day is creating coding resources for @javaswift (aka for you). These tasks will change as my goals change.
•
Sometimes I have to code, but I haven't coded full-time since we released @tappilyapp.
•
I just want to say that's it's okay if you're not a full-time coder right now. That doesn't mean you're not a great coder. It doesn't mean you don't like to code. What it really means is that you have multiple talents or interests and want to pursue them all. So, go you for pursuing work that puts a smile on your face, whether it has anything to do with coding or not.
•
What are your interests outside of coding
Today we wrapped up our Python unit Data types, variables, conditionals, loops, functions, libraries... they have come so far Next week, we jump into web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
