Happy Easter from the Petkau Family! On this Easter day when we celebrate the promise of new life in the resurrection of Christ- our little family is celebrating not only the coming of our saviour, but also the gift and blessing of a 100% kidney match. The news is fresh-and we are still in the planning stages-but there is hope in sight. A few VERY amazing people came forward during the past year and offered me part of their lives. And it’s not just the person who matched that has sacrificed their time and energy pursuing this gift - and to those others-I am blessed by your friendship and your generosity. But the lucky match is my amazing father in law @petkauterry. The fact that we are unrelated and as close of a match as we are, is the kind of thing you see on the news, or read about in the newspaper. I met Ty 12 years ago in Manitoba...here we are, married, and his dad is giving me a chance to have my life back. Guys-God is faithful, he is good, and this is not a fluke. This is from one of my favorite shoots this year. I feel so good leaving 2018, not because it was perfect but because it taught me so much and maybe this year my heart broke and healed the same amount and I think the balance and grace in that is a miracle.
