С наступившими праздниками, друзья! Это, конечно, странно, но первомайские выходные прямо созданы для того чтобы ударно впахивать. Garden Gate Pendant (2012) - This piece was created for the Facere Jewelry Art Gallery "3x2" show. The show was in conjunction with the Society of Glass Bead Makers conference in town at the same time. Forty bead artists were juried into the show and each was paired with a metalsmith tasked with creating a piece of jewelry using the bead. There were three pieces to be made, all based on the same design with one going to the bead maker, one to the jeweler, and the third to be sold at the gallery or donated to a fundraising auction for the Seattle Metals Guild. This bead is by Lee Woodburn of Massachusetts. The title of this piece is Garden Gate. It is based on the arbor that was over the front gate of my Columbia City house, which supported a clematis very similar to the flowers and vines featured on the bead. The sides of this piece feature a sort of lattice work and overhead are the flowers and vines. I chose to use a darkened foliage-type background, given a patina to be black, with contrasting loose hanging leaves hanging over that background. The three amethysts represent the clematis flowers. I was drawn to this bead because of the big hole near the bottom. The shape of the bead as a whole resembles a downward facing "D". I made a small container to fit this hole with the idea of making it a piece of aromatic jewelry. The lid of the container is made from sterling mesh and it can be opened and filled with herbs or a piece of felt dabbed with perfume. This piece is sterling silver and glass. It hangs from a 22" chain. (Not for sale)

И вот, наконец, мечта сбылась. Виноградины из этого стекла практически светятся изнутри. Так что я не утерпела - отвлеклась на чуть от оливок и сделала виноградную гроздь. Тем более виноградный листик от @filigranobeads лежал у меня еще с прошлого лета ( или позапрошлого) и ждал своей очереди. И прототип для него я лично рвала с соседского виноградника.☺️. . ̶К̶у̶л̶о̶н̶ ̶с̶о̶в̶е̶р̶ш̶е̶н̶н̶о̶ ̶с̶в̶о̶б̶о̶д̶е̶н̶.̶ ПРОДАН. Виноградины лэмпворк 1,3 - 1,6 см. Листик из нейзильбера примерно 3 см. Гроздь 7.5 см вместе с бейлом.
