There was a point in my life where I only cared about what I looked like and as hard as it is to be honest about that, seeing as when I type this out I sound so conceited...it’s the truth. And I’m here to be real. I didn’t care about how my body functioned, how healthy I was, or how sustainable my lifestyle was. I wanted “that look” ⠀⠀ Welllll I achieved that look. But at the expense of my health... ⠀⠀ Being super lean came at a price; •I was constantly thinking about my next meal •I was constantly worried about the scale •I was constantly comparing myself in the mirror I would literally go into the grocery store with my husband and walk down each aisle dreaming of the food & getting mad I couldn’t eat it Yes I literally got mad (lol like what) ⠀⠀ I just wasn’t myself, but I blamed it on my lack of food during competing. ⠀⠀ So after being chronically stressed, all these health issues started showing up that I had never experienced before. My body was freaking out and gaining weight like crazy & this really messed with me. I remember going through these horrible inflamed, hormonal roller coaster months, until I got fed up. I remember sitting on the ground next to my bed, throwing my hands up, realizing this was no way to live. I had to get healthy. Nothing else mattered at the moment. It was in that moment that I asked God to make me better. To heal me. To teach me how to heal. ⠀⠀ Through good food; REAL food, time, consistency, creating a positive relationship with food, learning how to rest, learning how to cope with stress, the list goes on... ⠀⠀ & slowly each day got easier, each day I felt healthier & each day I gained my joy back✨ ⠀⠀ It’s not about how you appear to look, it’s; How you FEEL How you THINK How you MOVE What you put IN your body & how that effects every aspect of YOU♥️

Our words are intensions. What you keep saying over and over again is exactly what is going to manifest into your life. When you stop focusing on the negative things that are out of your control, and start focusing on what you can control, and start seeing the bigger picture, that’s when things start to fall into place. That’s when you get yourself out of the victim mode and no longer feel lost, confused, and uninspired. Positive thoughts create positive circumstances. It’s all a matter of choice. Instead of fighting that war in your head, feed the right ones and starve the bad ones. _ After several heartbreaks, the only thing I had left to grasp onto, was my faith in a higher power, and from there, I’m now who I’m today. God is good all the time! All the time God is good . Today I got one of the best calls of my life!!! My surgeon called and said we will NOT be doing the fine needle aspiration and he is not going to be planning on cutting my neck! (He makes the final call over my other 2 Drs.). I Legit cried tears of joy . He said the mass is parathyroid tissue & as long as it doesn’t grow in the next month, I will not be having another neck surgery . He also feels confident it is benign like the other was! I will still have to be closely monitored but I’m totally fine with that!!! Yesterday when I got the bad news I just turned it over to God.
