Golden paste is a turmeric-based paste that taken orally provides health benefits to humans as well as animals (dogs and horses). Turmeric, known for is anti-inflammatory properties and used medicinally for over 4,000 years, is great for arthritis, skin health, immune system, and even cancer.
This recipe for #goldenpaste requires the following ingredients:
½ cup turmeric powder
1 cup water (+ ½ extra if necessary)
1.5 tsp ground black pepper
70 ml olive oil or coconut oil
Directions: •Mix water (1 cup) with turmeric powder in a pan and slowly heat it up and stir for 6-10 minutes until you get a thick paste (add the additional ½ cup water if it is too thick). •Add black pepper and oil and continue stirring until all the ingredients are fully mixed in together. •Allow the paste to cool. A 2006 study found the turmeric helps reduce join inflammation. A different study found turmeric to have anti-arthritic effect. A 2012 study provided evidence that curcumin might even be more effective for rheumatoid arthritis than anti-inflammatory drugs.

Turmeric paste, also known as “Golden Paste”, reduces inflammation in dog’s joints and body, benign tumors, and cancer. Turmeric also promotes heart and liver health, digestion, and it’s a natural detox.
_
This recipe is tailored to dogs that struggle with eating a regular turmeric paste recipe. Many dogs can be picky and refuse to eat turmeric paste. The natural peanut butter helps mask the bitter taste and smell. Cinnamon is added for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits. Cinnamon also helps dogs that have a rare case of a foul body odor after eating turmeric.
_
This supplement can be fed to dogs that eat kibble, canned, or raw food.
_
Ingredients:
1.5 cup organic turmeric powder
3 cups of water
2 spoonfuls of natural peanut butter
▪️4.5 teaspoons ground black pepper
3/4 cup coconut oil
1/8 teaspoon ground Ceylon cinnamon
Instructions:
_
Mix 1.5 cups of organic turmeric powder and 3 cups of water into a pot on medium heat for 7 minutes. Then add 4.5 teaspoons of ground black pepper, 3/4 cup coconut oil, 1/8 teaspoon ground Ceylon cinnamon, and two spoonfuls of natural peanut butter (omit if your dog has an allergy to this).
Store 1/3 of this recipe in a mason jar and put in the fridge. Place the rest of the turmeric paste into silicon molds (equivalent to ice cube trays) and freeze. Once frozen, place cubes into a freezer zip lock bag.
_
Serving Amount:
Feed 1/4 teaspoon per 10 pounds of your pets body weight. Feed 4-5 times a week. If your dog has severe joint pain, you can feed turmeric daily.
_
☀️ Make sure that the turmeric powder is organic because it will contain more curcumin. Curcumin is the key component in turmeric that the majority of the benefits come from. Follow these steps and don’t just add turmeric powder by itself if you want the best results. (Visit our Facebook, The Primal Pet, if you want to pause the video)

A lot of you asked me for the recipe of the "golden paste" treats. Here it is finally... •
60 g spelt flour
40 g coconut flour
40 g coconut oil melted
2 TBSP organic ground tumeric
1 TBSP dehydrated parsley
200 g water
Some fresh cracked black pepper
Mix all until you get a smooth paste and spread it on the mat.
If you own a Thermomix, set it 30 seconds on dough mode.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Bake for about 20-25 min.
Store them in an OPEN container! No plastic bags or anything like that, as they get moldy that way. (No preservatives you know )• #homemade #dogtreats #thermomix #goldenpaste #healthydogtreats #healthydog
