‏‎. داربست ها که سال هاست در سرا سر ایران شاهد آنیم، خود به آثار باستانی تبدیل شده اند. از گنبد سلطانیه در زنجان گرفته تا گنبد غفاریه در مراغه و برجهای دو گانه خرقان متعلق به دوره سلجوقی که سالهاست (در برهوتی) مهجور در گوشه ای از استان قزوین نفس های آخر را می کشد. ‎مرمت بناهای تاریخی که شمارشان در ایران به حدود یک میلیون می رسند، به ندرت مستمرا ادامه پیدا می کند. معمولا پس از بنا کردن داربست که اولین مرحله برای مرمت ابنیه باستانی بشمار می آید و در قدم اول آنرا به امان خدا رها کرده و فارغ از هرگونه دلسوزی و حس مسئولیتی آن را به دولتهای بعدی واگذار می نمایند. ‏‎داربست هایی موجوداند که سالهاست ابنیه تاریخی را آنچنان در بر گرفته اند که داغ گرفتن یک عکس کامل و زیبا را بر دل توریست ها و عکاسان حرفه ای گذاشته اند. دیر زمانیست که واژه «مدیریت» در این سرزمین رنگ باخته است. با تعویض مداوم مدیران غیر متخصص مشخص نمی شود که بودجه مربوطه چگونه حیف و میل می شود و صرف چه مواردی شده و یا به جیب چه کس و یا کسانی ریخته می شود. ‏ در رابطه با عکس های مربوط به تخت سلیمان باید بگویم که تنها دیواری که اینک از این اثر عظیم به جا مانده از دوران پهلویست و سایر قسمتهای آن به مرور زمان فرسوده و نابود شده اند و این تک دیوار به گفته یکی از نگهبان هایش مدیون آخرین ملکه این سرزمین است. ‏‎البته کم لطفی است اگر متذکر نشوم که مرمت های جزیی در این بنا به چشم می خورد و گویا باید به این طریق دهان سرمایه داران خارجی که از این ابنیه ثبت شده، حمایت می کنند را ببندند و از کمک های میلیونی یونیسف برخوردار شوند. . . . ‏by Golnaz Jamsheed. As well as obvious social and economic problems, consumerism is destroying our environment. As the demands for “unnecessary” goods increases, the need to produce these junks also increases because people are struggling with “shopping addiction”. They typically spend more time and money on shopping than they can afford. Shopping addiction has become a behavior that involves compulsive buying as a way to feel good and avoid negative feelings and depressions. Shopping is not a conventional type of therapy! Money and shopping won’t bring you happiness. Perhaps the Advertising industry is at fault for the influences on consumer behavior. It creates an emotional appeal that subtly convinces the audience that the item being promoted will make a difference in their lives by either making them happy, give them status satisfying a desire or providing security. How should one avoid temptation in the “rich and famous” world of Kardashian? We are in a vicious cycle. We never feel like we have enough or are enough. Insecurities make for avid consumers, because we want to buy what can “fix” us and make us more like the people we want to emulate. What we used to understand to be luxuries now seems to be necessities. To greater or lesser degrees, everyone is following a “toxic dream”. WILDLIFE is not a Trend! nor a tool for some to become a Social media sensation. In order to support and protect the endangered species, the education system must be well thought through and planned. Most people encountering wild animals are not you and me living in big cities, but the indigenous people. They too require proper education from an early age in order to grasp the importance of the wonderful wildlife near them. We need to inject useful information and knowledge through education and constant forms of communication to spread love and support for the beauty and wonder of nature. The question lies at the roots. Do we have that kind of education in our country? When a wild animal such as a wolf, bear or a hungry coyote attacks a livestock, the main source of income of an even hungrier villager whose livelihood and survival is dependent on his stock, what do you assume crosses his mind at that moment? Poor hungry endangered animal? Let them feed upon my precious? I’ll just sit here and admire the savage beauty of what nature has to offer and take it all in!! No. He’ll shoot the damn thing if the animal is lucky enough, otherwise the entire village smashes it into pieces with wooden sticks and other tools. What programs has the Wildlife Services provided, which prevents the killing of wild animals that threatens livestock? Or is the government’s program to kill wildlife? On a different note, if livestock emissions are actually contributing to global warming, and the killing of wild animals, maybe we should seriously practice becoming a vegetarian!
