This next post takes us to Tulum, Mexico. Luum Temple is a five sided catenary structure made from bamboo. It is part of the amenities of a new residential development called Luum Zama. In the heart of the development, the temple is nestled in a conserved area of native jungle and accessed only by foot, offering a quiet natural setting perfect for reflection and slowing down. Gentle breezes pass through the jungle canopy and the open structure, animating a rich play of dappled light and shadows. The open five sided structure hosts a variety of healing programs including yoga, meditation, workshops and community gatherings. Featured on @archdaily. We have won the competition for a New Alzheimer Village in Oslo, Norway! It is an inclusive project that meets an entire range of needs for people with reduced cognitive ability. The jury announces “It is a groundbreaking project that answers the future demands within age - and healthcare. At the same time the project contributes to the coexisting local community”. The village concept, integrated in a sloping landscape creates a small community with a range of spatial and landscape qualities. The various buildings will be constructed in sustainable CLT - massive wood. We collaborated with the Norwegian office @3rwarkitekter on the project. Our Alzheimer’s Village in Dax covered in World Economic Forum: “Danish practice Nord Architects has created a scheme with buildings and a square resembling those found in the medieval fortified towns common in the Landes region of southwest France. Residents will live in small, shared houses, organized into four neighbourhoods, alongside 100 carers and 12 volunteers who will organize activities. The Djiwanta. A Bipolar Psychiatry and Residential Treatment Center in Surabaya. It consists of several building programs surround the healing garden as one of the strategies for healing architecture. This building aims to alter the bad stigma of Bipolar Disorder and habitable for patient that undergoing a recovery process, thus make them feel comfortable and feel more stable. Additional recovery and development spaces provided so they can develop their communication skills with others and be able to express themselves as a form of self-actualization needs as well. .
